Take a deep breath when you explore the Sölden hiking area in summer on 300 kilometres of well-marked trails: Fill up on fresh air and get ready for a mountain experience. If you want to do a little more for your fitness, Sölden is also the perfect place for you - because endurance training is certainly effective here.
For those who want to aim high, Hochsölden offers lush alpine meadows with an incredible variety of wild flowers and herbs. Feast on selected dishes with natural mountain products in the rustic mountain huts. And for those who don't want to miss out on winter sports fun in summer, the glacier is the place to be.
The Ötztal offers the best starting point for every type of climbing.
There are 19 different climbing gardens and 7 different via ferratas to tackle, which are offered with and without introductory courses.
Even in bad weather, you can continue to train in the climbing gyms.
Speed down the mountain on 3-wheelers without a motor, a total of 7.3 kilometres from the Gaislachkogl middle station down into the valley to Sölden. The mountain carts are a kind of off-road go-kart and promise lots of fun and, above all, a fast descent. Simply take the gondola to the middle station with a valid mountain railway ticket, Ötztal Inside Summer Card or Regio Card, hire a mountain cart and off you go.
At the gateway to the Timmelsjoch High Alpine Road, you will embark on a winding adventure where you will gain many impressions.
Not only can you enjoy boundless freedom over the Timmelsjoch, the Ötztal is the ideal starting point for motorbike tours and thus offers various tours to South Tyrol, over the Brenner Pass or Hahntennjoch and many more.
The Timmelsjoch is only open in summer from June to October.
Along the Ötztaler Ache, Sanna or the Imst Gorge - these are the most popular river sections in Europe.
The certified guides will lead you along the exciting and adventurous sections. The absolute highlight is the Imst Gorge with a length of 14 kilometres and a duration of 2.5 hours.

The Freizeit Arena Sölden is home to the only indoor pool in the Ötztal!
Under blue skies, the Ötz adventure pool, Längenfeld outdoor pool, Sautens outdoor pool and Haiming forest pool offer cooling hours for young and old.
The Area 47 outdoor park is located at the foot of the Ötztal and offers rafting, wakeboarding and slides as well as much more fun.
The 2 bathing lakes Piburger See and Badesee Umhausen can be perfectly combined with a short but long hike in the Ötztal mountains.
